The original plan for Kiora Cottage began as a single room for my family to use when they came to visit from New Zealand. The plan grew into the need for a toilet, shower,and a place to relax and make their own morning coffee. The result is a 2 bedroomed retreat which we now use not only for family, but for any visitors who are interested in experiencing another side of Japan than the hustle and bustle of the big cities.

We are able to offer you a unique experience in rural Japan. A chance to learn about Japanese culture while feeling secure in an English speaking environment. For those who have been travelling a long time home cooked meals and homemade bread provide a welcome break too.

We can organise day trips for you and also arrange full Japanese homestays as well. Please contact us with any requests you may have.
